Rodong Sinmun Slams U.S. Reckless Saber-rattling

Pyongyang, September 5 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun Monday carries a commentary as regards the end of the Ulji Freedom Guardian joint military drill, which pushed the situation on the Korean peninsula to the uncontrollable danger of a nuclear war. It goes on: The joint military drill was aimed to carry out the phased scenario for invading the DPRK. The U.S. painted the UFG as "annual", "regular" and "defensive" one, but it could not cover up its aggressive and provocative nature. The U.S. introduced nuclear strategic assets into the Korean peninsula and its vicinity ahead of the UFG. B-52H, B-1B and B-2A nuclear strategic bombers for overseas aggression were forward-deployed on Guam for sorties. It was as clear as noonday that the UFG was aimed to make a preemptive nuclear strike at the DPRK. Foreign experts shared such views. The U.S. is an aggressor and provocateur who has escalated the tension on the peninsula by persistently pursuing the anti-DPRK hostile policy aimed at bringing down its ideology and social system. If the U.S. recklessly works to realize its foolish dream, oblivious of the DPRK's steadfast faith and serious warning, it will entail unimaginably disastrous consequences. -0-
