RULING PARTY’S CHAIRMAN TO RUN FOR PRESIDENCY

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ In connection to the upcoming Presidential Election and the ongoing nomination of candidates, Mongolian People’s Party has held its 8th convention at its headquarters, Independence Palace today, May 3. The party’s administrative board addressed the same agenda during its meeting on May 2, as a result of which two nominees - Chairman of the party and Parliament Speaker Enkhbold Miyegombo and Deputy Parliament Speaker Nyamdorj Tsend were proposed at the convention. Following a secret poll that was participated by 259 members of the party, Chairman M.Enkhbold won 222 votes, earning approval from 85.7 percent of the participants and thus being officially named the ruling party’s presidential candidate. Deputy Parliament Speaker Ts.Nyamdorj expressed his support for presidential candidate M.Enkhbold who made a speech, conveying his readiness to make diligent efforts to win the election. Kh.Aminaa
