S. Korea, China Agree to Hold 3-Way Summit including Japan

Beijing, Sept. 2 (Jiji Press)--South Korean President Park Geun-hye and Chinese President Xi Jinping on Wednesday agreed to hold a three-way summit also including Japan in the near future, the South Korean presidential office said. The two leaders confirmed that the three-way meeting should take place in South Korea at a convenient time, including late October and early November, according to the office. The summit would be the first one since May 2012. Deteriorated relations between Japan and China have prevented the three Asian countries from holding such a gathering. Park is visiting China to attend events to commemorate the 70th anniversary of China's victory in the war against Japan. END
