S.BATBOLD MEETS VICE MINISTER OF RUSSIA

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Prime Minister S.Batbold received M.A.Travnikov, the Russian vice Minister of Regional development on November 14. The Prime Minister noted that round table meeting “Border cooperation between Mongolia Russia” was successful during the seventh Baikal international economic forum. “Such a cooperation has grweat importance in our strategic partnership and collaboration," he said. To boost this cooperation, a joint plan was created during the PM's visit to Russia last year, and "this plan has been realized fruifully," he added. S.Batbold underlined that the border checkpoints must be improved as well as their services, and, in future, a tourism is to be developed based on Baikal and Khovsgol lakes, he said. Mongolia's Government will support the regional cooperation, he said and wished a success to the 10th meeting of the sub- commission on the Region and border cooperation scheduled in May of 2012 in Russian Kalmykia.
