SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE ON MONGOLIA-USA TIES

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ A scientific conference themed "Mongolia-USA relations: Comprehensive partnership" took place on Thursday in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The conference aims to conclude a present situation of the Mongolia-USA relations and cooperation, and to determine the further guidelines of the ties. It brought together Mr. Jonathan Addleton, the US Ambassador to Mongolia; officials from the ministries and departments, scholars, researchers, senior diplomats and historians. The gathered heard reports titled "Mongolia-USA relations: Comprehensive partnership", "Scope of the bilateral economic cooperation: Transferring to commercial partnership from aid ties" and "Present situation of the trade and economic ties and prospects". Other reports were delivered under themes "Mongolia-USA cooperation in the scientific sphere", "Mongolia-USA defense cooperation" and "Role of the USA in ensuring of Mongolia's security, its importance".
