Shamkhani ˈDeeply Concernedˈ Over Daesh Crisis In Iraq

Tehran, Aug 13, IRNA - Secretary of Iranˈs Supreme National Security Council, Ali Shamkhani on Wednesday declared deep concern over the crisis created by the Islamic State (better known as Daesh) in Iraq. He made the remarks when briefing the open session of Majlis (parliament) on the security situation in the neighboring countries including Iraq, Afghanistan and Gaza. Shamkhani warned against continuation of Daeshˈs brutal treatment of the Iraqi minority groups particularly the Izadi Kurdish minority in Iraqˈs Kurdistan region. Former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton admitted in her book titled ˈMemoir Hard Choicesˈ that the United States had a role in creation of Daesh. Daesh in its self-proclaimed status as an Islamic caliphate claims religious authority over all Muslims across the world and aspires to bring much of the Muslim-inhabited regions under its direct political control.
