Speakers talk activation of Mongolia-Sweden ties

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ M.Enkhbold, Chairman of the State Great Khural (Parliament), met with his Swedish counterpart, Mr Urban Ahlin in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Mr M.Enkhbold suggested that the two countries have possibilities to implement effective projects together, mentioning that Mr Enkhbold himself was one of the 200 Mongolian public servants who received short-term training in Sweden, and to activate cooperation in trade and business.
Sweden’s practices of infrastructure system, such as the solutions of heat and electricity, are very important for Mongolia, as the two countries have similar climate traits, he continued.
Discussions on cooperation in energy, especially in renewable energy, have begun between the businesses of two countries.
The sides touched on the issues on introducing Swedish latest technologies to Mongolian industries, building ties between tertiary institutions, conducting joint researches, cooperating in agricultural spheres, exchanging practices of land-farming in cool and dry climate and resuming the active cooperation between Ulaanbaatar and Stockholm that have been stagnated for years.
Speaker M.Enkhbold invited Mr Urban Ahlin, the Speaker of Riksdag of the Kingdom of Sweden, to visit Mongolia at his convenience.
The Mongolian delegation took part in the 136th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union is returning home today from Dhaka, Bangladesh.
