STANDING COMMITTEE HEAD WORKS IN MFA

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A head and members of the parliamentary Standing committee on security and foreign policy J.Enkhbayar and D.Demberel and N.Enkhbold Tuesday worked in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The FM L.Purevsuren and his Vice N.Oyundari spoke about a realization of decisions and resolutions made by this Standing committee and gave them information on high level visits paid this year. J.Enkhbayar said the Standing committee will fully support this Ministry that represents and implements the foreign policy of Mongolia, and recommended that the Ministry maintain the "one-window" policy and harmonize it with the united policy of the national security of Mongolia. Enkhbayar also said their committee received many complaints about professional and language skills of those officials working in diplomatic missions of Mongolia abroad and inquired the FM about measures for solving these problems. In response, the Foreign Minister noted that some 340 officials currently work abroad, 200 of them are serving as diplomats, and said his Ministry is to undertake works on human resources and professional staffers, for example, the diplomats have been told to take state service examinations and that tough criteria will be used in judging their foreign languages skills and legal knowledge.
