STATE COUNCILOR OF CHINA TO VISIT MONGOLIA
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ Mongolia will receive a member of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Mr. Dai Bingguo with a visit on August 22-25. He will be the very first foreign high official to visit us after forming new parliament and cabinet.
It was reported on Tuesday by Mr. Wang Xiaolong, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Mongolia.
Mr. Bingguo will be received by the State Head Ts.Elbegdorj, the Prime Minister N.Altankhuyag, will hold talks with the Deputy Premier and meet the Foreign Minister. Other authorities of the state will meet Mr. Bingguo to share views on developing the Mongolia-China strategic partnership and deepening the cooperation.
The Chinese considers that the high-level mutual visits have been regularizing, and the political mutual trust has been deepening from the beginning of this year thanks to the strategic partnership relations established last year. For example, the President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj met with his counterpart of China and with Mr. Li Keqiang, the Vice-Premier and deputy party secretary of the PRC State Council during the 12th SCO Meeting of the Council of Heads of Member States on June 6-7 this year in Beijing; a vice chairman of the Central Military Commission General Xu Caihou visited Mongolia in May this year.
Mongolia-China trade turnover reached USD three billion and 300 million by the first half of 2012, increasing 21 per cent against 2011. Until present, China has invested USD three billion and 700 million to Mongolia.
"Mongolia has organized its parliamentary election, selecting new leaders of the state, while the 18th session of the Communist Party of China will select its authorities. Also, a new cabinet of China will be formed next year, so China considers it is necessary to keep the mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation," Mr. Wang said.
Mr. Bingguo visited Mongolia in 1998. This time, he plans to increase the mutual political trust by co-designing a general direction of the bilateral relations' development, and to determine the most important sectors of the cooperation. Mr. Bingguo also intends to talks with the Mongolian side on the trade and economic cooperation such as developing the collaboration in the fields of mining, exploitation of mineral resources, infrastructure and industry, and to focus on augmenting the mutual confidence of humanitarian ties.
According to China's Ambassador, his country wants to keep the trade and economic cooperation with Mongolia in the mining, mineral resource exploitation, infrastructure and industrial sectors. China is also interested in construction of the “Sainshand” industrial complex and in producing value-added products here.
