STATE HEAD ADDRESSES MINISTERIAL MEETING

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The President Ts.Elbegdorj addressed an opening of a ministerial unofficial meeting of the Group of democratic countries at the UN held with a theme "Law rule and democracy" on Tuesday in New York, USA. The President pointed out that democracy and human rights do not exist without adhering to laws. "When laws are fully maintained, a justice, democracy and human rights are ensured easily," he added. He underlined that Mongolia pays a great importance to a quality of democracy while chairing the Community of Democracies (CoD), so the country is regarding the education for democracy as superior. "Mongolia does not teach others but can share experience with others. Democracy is not a one-time action, the democracy always requires a permanent care," Mr Elbegdorj underlined and then urged countries to collaborate in forming a more democratic and fair society. Chaired by Mongolia's Foreign Minister L.Bold, this meeting brought together representatives of 100 member-states of the Group of democratic countries and authorities of the UN and other international organizations.
