STATE HEAD MEETS EMIR OF KUWAIT

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj and His Highness the Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah have expressed a mutual satisfaction with an intensive development of the Mongolia-Kuwait relations and underlined an importance of regularizing of high-level meetings and visits in forwarding the ties in all spheres. It was sounded on Monday in the Bayan palace. The President noted that several biggest projects, implemented at infrastructure sector with support from the Kuwait Fund, have been fruitful and expressed hope that bilateral talks on assistance and investment will be realized. The State leaders emphasized that opening of the two countries' embassies has given impetus to enhancing of the bilateral relations and cooperation. They spoke about investing and financing projects on infrastructure and manufacturing industry. His Highness the Emir expressed a readiness to finance any projects that are mutually beneficial and that have technical and economic justification meeting the international standards. Then the dignitaries shared view on improving the oil supply of Mongolia and on abolishing Mongolia's dependence on a single oil market. They noted about an opportunity to boost the cooperation in the educational sector, for example, His Highness the Emir accepted a proposal of the Mongolian President to augment a number of Kuwaiti scholarships for Mongolian students to major in engineering, architecture and bio-technology. The two leaders shared views on developing infrastructure, constructing settlements and creating green parks in desert and on good distribution of natural resources. If before Kuwait was a donor, now the two countries are becoming mutually beneficial partners, they said. The same day, the Emir gave a banquet in honour of Mongolia's President.
