STATE HEAD MEETS GERMANY'S PRESIDENT

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj has said Germany is the main partner of Mongolia in the European Union (EU). It was sounded on Monday during the 4th forum of United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) in Doha, Qatar, with Mr. Christian Wulff, the President of the Federal Republic of Germany (FRG). They sides pointed out that the Mongolia-Germany comprehensive partnership have been developing successfully. Ts.Elbegdorj thanked Germany for a support given to the Mongolian state organizations through the Germany's Hanns Seidel Foundation, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation. Mentioning that a visit to Mongolia of Germany's Chancellor Angela Merkel has been a a success, Mr. Elbegdorj underlined that related officials of the two countries are working in accordance with agreements made at this visit. "The Germany side meets an interest to invest Mongolia's mining, infrastructure, industry and renewable energy," Ts.Elbegdorj said, and expressed a willingness to cooperate with Germany in introducing the latest technologies of producing liquid gas from coal. Ts.Elbegdorj requested Germany's president to augment scholarships for Mongolian students to major in mining and agriculture. He also shared views with Germany's president on establishing a joint university in Ulaanbaatar. B.Khuder
