STATE HEAD RECEIVES AMBASSADOR OF CZECH REPUBLIC

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The President Ts.Elbegdorj received on Thursday Mr. Vaclav Jilek, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Mongolia, who has completed his dipmission here and is returning home. "Our countries have the long-year traditional friendly relations. I am glad that Mongolia and Czech Republic have overcome many difficulties that occurred after transferring to the democracy and market economy system," the President noted. He thanked the Ambassador for running many fruitful works such as a visit of the Czech Premier to Mongolia and resuming the Mongolia-Czech intergovernmental joint commission's meetings, and wished him success. In turn, Mr Jilek expressed satisfaction with working in Mongolia as the Czech Ambassador and highly spoke Mongolia's chairing the Community of Democracies (CoD). He added that the European Union (EU) appreciated Mongolia's decision to abolish the capital punishment. At the end of the meeting, the State Head awarded the Ambassador the "Friendship" medal for his contribution to developing of the Mongolia-Czech friendly relations. B.Khuder
