STATE PRIZES AWARDED

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ On occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Mongolian Independence and the National Revolution for Freedom, the state prizes were awarded on December 29 to some people. Thus have been recognized their significant contributions to education, culture, arts, sciences, health, sport, economics, law, communications, road, transportation, industry, agriculture and mining sectors. Pursuant to a decree of the President, the title of Hero of Labor was bestowed upon a builder B.Puntsag who has been working for 53 years at road and construction sector. The People's Teacher title has been awarded to B.Banzragch, a secondary school teacher of Arkhangai aimag's Erdenebulgan soum, and the People's Medical Doctor title--to D.Malchinkhuu, a consulting doctor of the Research Center for Mothers and Infants. A school teacher of Sukhbaatar aimag's Baruun-Urt soum D.Dorjgotov has become a State Honored Teacher; an agronomist from Tov aimag J.Surenkhorloo--a State Honored Agronomist; a senior worker of the UB railway J.Nyamaa--a State Honored Transporter; a head of Air-Attack Defending Section at the General Headquarters of Mongolia's Armed Forces B.Dashkhuu--a State Honored Pilot; a head of the military unit colonel Ts.Tserendorj--a State Honored Telecommunication Worker. An international master of sports and long-distance runner B.Ser-Od, and the Paralympic athlete J.Lhagvajav have received the title of State Honored Sportsman. Other foremost people have been awarded the titles of State Honored medical doctor, economist, artist, lawyer, cultural, arts and scientific figures. The Red Flag Order of Labor Merit has gone to Ch.Saikhanbileg MP, and the Red Flag Order of Military Merit--to P.Battsengel, an expert of the Defense Ministry.
