Sunni Cleric: Islam Entirely At Odds With Daesh Practices

Kish, Hormuzgan Prov, July 21, IRNA – Friday Prayers Leader of Sunni Muslims in this Persian Gulf island Sheikh Yaˈqoub Shams said the teachings of the Holy Islam are entirely at odds with the practices by the terrorist Daesh group. Talking to IRNA on Saturday, he stressed that the terrorist group calling itself the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria is the handmade puppet of the world hegemonic powers devised to inflict blows to Islam. He said the world is now witnessing the daily creation of new groups such as Daesh which is destroying mosques and religious sites and carrying out wicked acts like street and mass executions because of its very cruel nature. He said what Daesh is doing is certainly causing grave concern among Muslims./end
