Thailand, China will have mutual complaint centres
BANGKOK, June 13 (TNA) -- The Thai Office of the Ombudsman signed a Memorandum of Understanding with China’s National Audit Office (NAO) to develop complaint centres for people of both countries.
At his office on June 12, Chief Ombudsman Viddhavat Rajatanun signed the memorandum with a deputy auditor general of the NAO which has similar responsibilities as the office of the ombudsman.
The memorandum will result in complaint centers for Thai and Chinese people in each other’s country and in academic cooperation.
“Ombudsmen will learn about China’s impeachment processes. China has impeached many important figures in its communist party. This shows seriousness in audit. Next year the National Audit Office will become an independent organization. This signing will strengthen the cooperation. As an executive of the International Ombudsman Institute, I am ready to support China’s participation as its member,” Gen Viddhavat said. (TNA)
