TS.ELBEGDORJ MEETS NORWAY'S AUDITOR GENERAL

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ In Norway, the leader of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj received a head of the Office of the Auditor General of Norway /OAG/, Mr Jurgen Kosmo. The latter visited Mongolia in 2004 being a Speaker of Norwegian parliament and in 2007 as the head of OAG. The Mongolian President said he is glad to meet an "old friend of Mongolians” and then asked him about the OAG's work and achievements. Mr Kosmo said their organization ensures an implementation of the good governance and anti-corruption policies and controls over the state service. Norway gives much importance to anti-corruption actions, even runs it on international level, "here we consider that the state and private sectors bear the same responsibility in fighting against corruption, and our transparency and reliability express our prestige,” said Mr Kosmo. After this meeting, the Mongolian President gave interview to the "Dagens Noringisliv" daily about Mongolia's social, economic, politic and business environment and regional problems. Ch.Enkhtuya
