UAE, France to enhance economic ties

Abu Dhabi, April 8, 2012 (WAM) - Obaid Humaid Al Tayer, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, received on Thursday, a French Parliamentary delegation headed by French Senator Philippe Marini who was accompanied by Alain Azouaou, French Ambassador to the UAE. During the meeting held at the MoF office in Dubai, they discussed bilateral relations between France and the UAE, and explored ways for strengthening bilateral financial and economic ties. Al Tayer and the French delegation also stressed the UAE's leading role on the regional and global levels. Al Tayer said that France is one of the most important trading partners of the UAE, where a large number of French companies operate in the industrial, hospitality, tourism and finance sectors in the country. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
