UAE, Latvia sign avoidance of double taxation agreement

Abu Dhabi, Mar 12, 2012 (WAM) - The United Arab Emirates and Republic of Latvia have signed an agreement for the Avoidance of Double Taxation on Income. The agreement was signed yesterday by Obaid Humaid Al Tayer, UAE Minister of State for Financial Affairs and Mars Silja, Latvian non-resident Ambassador to the UAE. This brings to 61 the number of key trade partners with whom the UAE had signed similar agreements, including a number of Arab, Asian, European, and African countries, plus CIS countries, Canada and Venezuela. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
