UNICEF Permanent Rep presents letter of credence

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Permanent Representative of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) Mr Roberto Benes Thursday presented his letter of credence to the Minister of Foreign Affairs L.Bold. After the presentation, the Minister received Mr Benes to exchange views with him on a present situation of the Mongolia-UNICEF ties and cooperation. Mentioning that Mongolia always aspires to actively participate in the UNICEF actions, Mr Bold said Mongolia is ready to receive a high-level official from the UNICEF. Then he put forward a proposal to hold a training-seminar on children’s safety together with the UNICEF in a scope of the Mongolian chairmanship for Freedom Online Coalition (FOC). Mr Benes expressed his satisfaction with being appointed the UNICEF Permanent Representative to Mongolia and accepted Mr Bold’s proposal, promising to convey it to the UNICEF authorities. He also expressed a willingness to make all his best to widen the Mongolia-UNICEF cooperation. The Foreign Minister wished Mr Benes successes and said the governmental bodies of Mongolia will support him.
