U.S. against sale of Turkish-made military helicopters to Pakistan

Azerbaijan, Baku, October 17/Trend, R.Hafizoglu/ The U.S. spoke against the sale of T-129 ATAK helicopters by Turkey to Pakistan, "Haber 7" TV channel reported on Thursday. According to the TV channel, the U.S authorities explained this by the fact that the engine of T-129 ATAK helicopters is of American production and special permission is necessary for the export of these helicopters. Turkish-made ATAK combat helicopters are part of the state program aimed at providing the Turkish army with arms, equipment and outfit of own production. Currently, Turkey has achieved self-sufficiency in this sector at 50 per cent.
