US, Allies Adopt Double Standards On Iran’s Nuclear Issue: PeV

New Delhi, Oct 20, IRNA - Jammu and Kashmir Pairvan-e Villayat (PeV) (Followers of Velayat-e Faqih) has strongly condemned new sanctions imposed by the European Union (EU) on the Islamic Republic of Iran.
In a statement issued to the press, Pairvan-e Villayat patron and young Shia leader of Kashmir Moulana Sibt-e Mohammad Shabir Qummi, denouncing the “unilateral” sanctions on Iran, said such sanctions could not hamper the progress of the Islamic Republic and would only strengthen its resolve.
“This (sanctions) shows the frustration of anti-Iran elements. By adopting double standard on nuclear issue, Washington and its allies are working to destabilize Iran to protect Israel. There is no denying the fact that U.S. helped Israel to develop nuclear weapons in the past, and it is now labeling Iran’s peaceful nuclear program as ‘nuclear crime’,” Moulana Sibte Shabir said.
“This goes to show the injustice of the American double standard over nuclear issue.”
Pertinently, on October 15, EU member states announced a new package of sanctions against Iran over its nuclear program which included a general ban on financial transactions with the Iranian banks, hindering or stop any trade between the EU and Iran and banning on European imports of Iranian gas.
Significantly, many countries including Russia, China, India, Sweden, and Namibia have opposed the new sanctions anti-Iran sanctions.
Urging the Islamic nations to forge unity, Moulana Qummi asked Muslim countries to condemn the fresh sanctions against Iran.
“Sanctions on Iran are part of a Western plot to weaken the Muslim world. This is high time Muslim world wakes up to the realization that America and its allies are the biggest enemies of Islam,” he said.
The PeV patron also condemned the EU ban on Iran’s 19 satellite television and radio channels, terming it as a “blatant violation of freedom of speech”.
“Blocking Iran’s satellite channels, West has, in fact, attacked its own value of freedom of speech. These channels were banned for uncovering the truth that Western countries prefer to conceal,” he said.
The blocked channels included Press TV news service and the Arabic-language Al-Alam./end
