U.S AMBASSADOR PRESENTS DIPLOMATIC CREDENTIALS

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The State Head Ts.Elbegdorj has congratulated Ms. Campbell on becoming the US Ambassador to Mongolia, and expressed a satisfaction with expansion of the bilateral cooperation in many sectors on occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Mongolia-US diplomatic relations. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the USA to Mongolia Ms. Piper Campbell presented on Friday her diplomatic credentials to the President. The President noted that expanding the trade and economic ties with the USA and augmenting investments from the USA are vital for Mongolia, and highlighted the trade turnover with the USA reached USD 541.9 million by December of the previous year, showing an increase of USD 376.9 million or by 3.29 times. Mongolia always thanks the USA for supporting the Mongolia's democracy and development of market economy system, he added. He wished Ms. Campbell at works and hoped that the US Ambassador will contribute to widening the bilateral relations and cooperation not only in the trade sector, but also in the fields of education and culture. In response, Ms. Campbell said she will make efforts to deepen the Mongolia-USA cooperation in all spheres. B.Khuder
