US Embassy In Lebanon Condemns Beirut Blast

Beirut, Feb 19, IRNA – The Lebanese el-Nashra website reported Wednesday that the US embassy in Beirut condemned the explosion near Iranˈs cultural center describing it as a terrorist act. The US embassy in Beirut twitted a message of condolences to the families of the victims of the strong blast which smashed windows and inflicted serious damage to the buildings and cars. Meanwhile, Lebanonˈs health minister announced that five people were killed and 80 others were injured in the incident. The blast took place in Beir Hassan district in southern Beirut. In November 2013, Iranˈs embassy in the same area was targeted by a bomb attack./end
