U.S. Nuclear Threat Will Precipitate Its Ruin: Rodong Sinmun

Pyongyang, July 14 (KCNA) -- Remarkable successes were made by the DPRK recently in bolstering the capability for national defence to cope with the ever-escalating moves of the U.S. imperialists to ignite a nuclear war. This clearly demonstrated once again to the U.S. imperialists and their followers making false propaganda about the nuclear deterrent of the DPRK that Songun Korea will blow up the bases of the hostile forces in a flash if they show even the slightest sign of provocation, Rodong Sinmun Thursday says in a commentary. The commentary goes on: It is the mettle of the DPRK to counter the U.S. moves for stifling it with the bolstering of its nuclear deterrent. The escalating hostile moves of the U.S. will result in a remarkable increase of the DPRK's capability for nuclear attack. It is a foolish dream for the U.S. to think of denuclearizing the DPRK through military pressure, sanctions and blockade.
