U.S. Will Face Most Fatal Disaster: Rodong Sinmun

Pyongyang, May 20 (KCNA) -- The United States desperately resorted to the military provocation over the DPRK's test-fire of ground-to-ground medium-to-long range strategic ballistic rocket Hwasong-12, says Rodong Sinmun Saturday in a commentary. The U.S. extended its combined naval drill with the south Korean forces involving nuclear-powered carrier Carl Vinson. And it planned to dispatch another nuclear carrier Ronald Reagan from Yokosaka of Japan to the waters off the Korean peninsula, clamoring about someone's "possibility of additional ballistic missile launch and sixth nuclear test". This is no more than robbers' impudent sophism and reckless military provocation, the commentary says, adding: It is the height of impudence to claim that the U.S. nuclear test and missile launch against the DPRK "contribute" to peace and stability and the DPRK's nuclear test and rocket launch to defend its sovereignty and right to existence constitute "provocation and threat". It is clear to everyone that such U.S. reckless military action is a grave deed of wrecking peace as it will further aggravate the situation of the Korean peninsula and the region. The DPRK remain unchanged in its stand to beat back the arrogant U.S. imperialists' preemptive attack with its merciless nuclear strike and counter their war provocation with military action of justice. -0-
