Use Of Nuclear Energy, Iran’s Absolute Right: Tunisian FM

Algiers, March 26, IRNA – The Tunisian foreign minister said Friday that the Iranian nation has an absolute right to use nuclear energy. Rafik Abdessalem made the point while receiving a copy of credentials from Iran’s new Ambassador to Tunisia Peyman Jebeli. Abdessalem said his country believes that the serious threats to the world come from the states possessing nuclear arms. He termed Iran as a developed and civilized country, expressing that Tunis is serious to strengthen all-out relations with Tehran. He hoped the future visit of his Iranian counterpart Ali Akbar Salehi to Tunisia will open new chapters in bilateral cooperation. For his part, the Iranian envoy said the two sides should deepen their ties. Jebeli said the Islamic Iran stands with Tunisia and is ready to share its different experiences with Tunisian sides./end
