Vatican uses Turkish firm's software to print credit cards
ISTANBUL (A.A) - 02.05.2011 - Vatican uses Turkish firm's software to print credit cards.
In an exclusive interview with the A.A, Ayse Nil Sarigollu, CEO of Turkey's leading company in card payment systems and chip card technologies SmartGroup, said that Vatican used the software developed by their firm to print the credit card for Pope Benedict XVI.
Sarigollu said, "our firm was established at the Technocity at the Istanbul Technical University (ITU) in 2001. Since then, Turkey ranked third among European countries using high-technology in banking sector. Our firm has become the first Turkish firm selling software to Israel and India."
"We have concentrated our efforts in eastern Europe. We established a search-and-development firm in Macedonia. We have also a branch in the USA to carry out marketing works. Our second office in the USA will be opened in Florida. Our third branch takes place in Canada. It was our firm which instant printed credit card for the first time in Canada," she added.
