Vice FM meets UN Counter-Terrorism Committee official

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs D.Gankhuyag last week received a delegation headed by Mr Hassan Baage, a chief of the United Nations Counter Terrorism Executive Directorate’s division on technical assistance. They discussed issues of a visit of the UN Counter-Terrorism committee’s working group paid to Mongolia on May 26-30, 2014 in order to ensure the implementation of the #1373, #1624, #1267 and #1540 resolutions issued by the UN Security Council for combating terrorism. In frames of this visit, the working group’s officials have held meetings with authorities of the anti-terrorism bodies of Mongolia, and got acquainted with realization of the #1373 and #1624 resolutions. At the meeting, the sides shared views on rendering technical assistance from the UN for enhancing Mongolia’s capability to combat terrorism.
