VICE FOREIGN MINISTER MEETS SINGAPOREAN COUNTERPART

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade, Mr D.Gankhuyag met with the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Singapore, Mr Bilahari Kausikan on October 3. The latter paid a working visit to Mongolia on October 1-3. The Mongolian Vice Minister spoke about goals of foreign policy of the cabinet for reforms and affirmed that the Mongolian side attaches an importance to the ties with Singapore. He underlined that the two countries' cooperation can be developed in all spheres together with expanding the business ties and increasing the Singaporean investments to Mongolia. The Vice Minister for Foreign affairs of Singapore said the two countries have been cooperating in frames of a technical assistance programme Singapore realizes for the developing countries and expressed an interest in boosting the cooperation in trade and economical sector. The sides recognized that the current visit is the first high level visit Singapore ever paid to Mongolia at governmental level, and that it has an importance in deepening the political talks and in strengthening of the trade and economics collaboration.
