Vice Speaker meets Danish parliamentary delegation

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A Vice Speaker of parliament and head of the Mongolia-Denmark inter-parliamentary group at the State Great Khural M.Enkhbold Wednesday met a delegation led by Ms Trin Brasen, a member of parliament. At the beginning of the meeting, the Vice Speaker congratulated Ms Brasen on taking part in the 9th Asia-Europe Parliamentary Partnership (ASEP9) kicked off here, and thanked the Danish side for attaching a significance to the ASEP9. He hoped that this meeting will cause a good chance for the inter-parliamentary partnership for bringing it into a new volume. “Our cooperation has been developing in many spheres. One of the evident expressions is the bilateral parliamentary partnership. When the cooperation between the legislative bodies are close under a good legal landscape, our ties will be successful in other sectors such as trade, socio-economy and culture,” the Vice Speaker said, and emphasized a project on equipping the parliamentary library and training staffers through the DANIDA organization has made an information system of the State Great Khural. Mr Enkhbold expressed a willingness of Mongolia to boost cooperation with Denmark in introducing Danish progressive technologies of renewable energy particularly wind energy technologies in Mongolia and boosting industries of the agricultural sector especially dairy productions. Ms Brasen thanked the Vice Speaker for an audience, and pointed out she is visiting Mongolia for the first time. Noting that Denmark and Mongolia have long-year traditional friendly relations, and then said she will convey proposals of the Vice Speaker to her parliament about cooperating in the agricultural and energy sectors. “Our countries have a historical tradition of cooperation in the land farming industry in 1920s, so I hope we will have many opportunities. There are many things for Mongolians to learn experiences,” Ms Brasen said. The Vice Speaker pointed out Mongolia plans to mount a big exhibition about Mongolia in Scandinavian countries between 2019 and 2020 in order to develop the bilateral relations in culture and to propagandize Mongolia. He expressed a hope that the Danish side will back this event. Mr Enkhbold mentioned Mongolian parliament bears the Mongolia-Denmark inter-parliamentary group and he serves as this group’s chair. He said it is possible to start new works if Danish parliament such group.
