VICE SPEAKER MEETS JAPANESE AMBASSADOR

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Japan to Mongolia Mr. Shimizu Takenori has underlined that the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per capita in Mongolia is expected to reach about 10 thousand U.S dollars by the year 2018. He said it during an audience by G.Batkhuu, a Vice Speaker of Parliament and expressed his satisfaction with becoming an ambassador to Mongolia on occasion of the 40th anniversary of the bilateral diplomatic relations. Mr. Shimizu said that he will work with great efforts to bring the bilateral relations and cooperation into a new level and to forward the economic cooperation. The Vice Speaker mentioned that the two countries have the close relations and said Mongolia is maintaining a policy to put its mineral resources into an economic circulation. He underlined an importance to develop the bilateral relations in the economic sphere, not only the mining sector. G.Batkhuu pointed out the Mongolia has opportunities to study experiences from Japan in many things and to introduce the latest technologies of Japan, and noted that Japan has rendered assistance to Mongolia in hard times. During the meeting, the Japanese ambassador emphasized that Japanese tourists visit every year Ovorkhangai aimag's Kharkhorin soum. In response, the Vice Speaker said ot os decided to make Kharkhorin city a model city of Mongolia in accordance with a decree of the President. B.Khuder
