WORLD ENVIRONMENTAL DAY MARKED

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ In 1972, the United Nations General Assembly has declared to celebrate every 5th of June as the World Environment Day. Thus, this day is devoted to challenge for the nature protection deeds and conducting training and publicizing activities on this issue. Today WED is celebrated under the motto “Do you care of Green economy?” initiated by Brazil. In this regard, the Ministry of Nature environment and tourism of Mongolia provides information on environmental situation in Mongolia. For the first time WED was celebrated under the slogan “Lonely earth” in 1973. However, the world countries have been put forward their own initiatives and taken measures involving all the public since 1978. B.Oyundelger
