President of Singapore Visits National Museum of Qatar

 

 

Doha, June 20 (QNA) - HE President of the Republic of Singapore Halimah Yacob and her accompanying delegation visited the National Museum of Qatar.  

During the tour of the museum, HE the President of Singapore was accompanied by HE Minister of Education and Higher Education Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaim, where HE Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Hamad Al-Thani head of partnerships and sponsorships at Qatar Museums provided additional demonstrations on the precious collections that the National Museum of Qatar contains.

They also toured various galleries that include the beginnings of the geological development of the Qatar Peninsula, its natural environments, monuments and rock inscriptions in archaeological sites, the lives of the people of Qatar on land and coasts, and the digital exhibition.

HE President of Singapore was also briefed on the most prominent pieces and collections related to pearls and jewelry designs, in addition to the galleries of modern Qatar history since discovering oil and gas. (QNA)
