Production Processes Updated at Chonnaeri Cement Factory

Pyongyang, June 10 (KCNA) -- The Chonnaeri Cement Factory in the DPRK is pushing ahead with the technical updating of production processes, true to the resolutions of the 8th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and the plenary meetings of the Central Committee of the WPK.

The factory has expanded its production capacity as scheduled while further strengthening the cooling system of clinker in close cooperation with scientists and technicians of relevant field.

Its workers and technicians made collective innovations in the overall reconstruction project including burning, transportation and crushing processes.

Amid the dynamic mass technological innovation movement, the process of conveying clinker was improved and the inclined bucket conveyor upgraded to raise the capacity for transporting raw materials by 120 percent and new dust arrester was manufactured and installed.

Workers of the limestone branch mine completed the project for expanding the limestone unloading capacity in a little over one month.

The factory is directing efforts to increasing the production capacity to supply much more cement to major construction sites. -0-
