Qatar Participates in 122nd Session of Permanent Council of Francophonie

 

Paris, March 26 (QNA) - The State of Qatar participated in the 122nd session of the Permanent Council of the Francophonie held via video conference technology under the chairmanship of HE Secretary General of the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF) Louise Mushikiwabo.

    HE the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the French Republic and its representative to OIF Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al-Thani represented the State of Qatar in the meeting.

  In her opening speech, the OIF Secretary General noted her participation in the Fifth United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries (LDC5), which Doha held from March 5 to 9, and thanked the State of Qatar for its support in financing "La Francophonie avec Elles" which aims to support women in vulnerable situations in the Francophone space.

    During the meeting, the decisions adopted during the 18th Summit of La Francophonie were followed up. (QNA)
