Qatar Participates in 32nd Abu Dhabi International Book Fair

 

 

Doha, May 16 (QNA) - The Ministry of Culture and several Qatari publishers will take part in the 32nd annual Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, due to be held from May 22-28, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center. 

The Qatari publishers participating in the week-long fair include Dar Al Watad for Publishing and Distribution and Hamad Bin Khalifa University Press. 

The State of Qatar's participation comes within the framework of bolstering cultural and intellectual communication between Qatar and Abu Dhabi.

Director of the Ministry of Culture's Libraries Department and Director of Doha International Book Fair, Jassim Ahmed Al Buainain hailed the Qatari participation as an endeavor to build new relations with publishing industry members, in addition to showcasing Qatari publishers' intellectual production. 

The Ministry of Culture's publications will include novels, law, social and human sciences, as well as children's and youth books, Al Buainain said. 

Dar Al Watad Sales Manager Amira Al Refai told Qatar News Agency (QNA) that their second participation stems from the importance of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair and the Qatari publisher's keenness to display its outstanding publications.

A variety of Dar Al Watad's publications on law, literature, children's stories among others will go on display in the Fair, Al Rifai said. (QNA)
