Qatar Participates in Ministerial Session on Sudan's Humanitarian Situation 

 

 

Doha, May 02 (QNA) - The State of Qatar participated Tuesday in a virtual ministerial session on the humanitarian situation in the Republic of Sudan, which was organized by the World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean.

    HE Minister of Public Health (MOPH) Dr. Hanan Mohamed Al Kuwari chaired the State of Qatar's delegation. 

Dr. Al Kuwari affirmed the State of Qatar's keenness to support international efforts, including those of WHO, and all that would alleviate the suffering of civilians, and provide a rapid response to the growing humanitarian relief in Sudan, including needs in the health field.

During the session, options for mobilizing support from all over the region for the Sudanese people were discussed, while the latest developments were reviewed, as well as WHO's response to the crisis to mitigate the effects of this crisis on civilians. (QNA)
