Qatar Participates in Official Opening Ceremony of the 2023 Annual Meetings of the Islamic Development Bank Group

Jeddah, May 12 (QNA) - The delegation of the State of Qatar, headed by HE Minister of Finance Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari participated in the official opening ceremony of the Annual Meetings of the Islamic Bank Group that were held in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
A number of Their Excellencies the Ministers of Economy, Planning and Finance of the Bank's member states participated in the meetings. Representatives of international and regional financial institutions, as well as representatives of Islamic banks and national development financing, participated in the events accompanying these meetings along with institutions and syndicates of contractors and consultants from the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. Kandahar, May 12 (QNA) - HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani met today with Prime Minister in the caretaker government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Mohammad Hasan Akhund, during His Excellency's visit to the city of Kandahar in Afghanistan.
The meeting dealt with discussing ways of supporting Afghanistan to alleviate the impact of its current crisis on the economic and humanitarian front.
His Excellency stressed during the meeting the State of Qatar's firm support of all segments of the Afghan people, and its continued efforts to establish security, stability, prosperity, and honorable living in Afghanistan. (QNA)
