Qatar Strongly Condemns Israeli Aggression Against Jenin, Settlers' Storming Of Al-Aqsa Mosque

Doha, August 17 (QNA) - The State of Qatar strongly condemned the Israeli aggression against the city of Jenin in the West Bank, which led to the fall of a Palestinian martyr, as well as the storming of dozens of settlers into Al Aqsa Mosque, and performing Talmudic rituals in its courtyards, considering these attacks a new episode in the series of continuous and horrific crimes against the defenseless Palestinian people, representing at the same time, a provocation to the feelings of more than two billion Muslims around the world, and a flagrant violation of the international law and resolutions of international legitimacy. In a statement on Tuesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs warned of the fading opportunities for peace and the widening of the cycle of violence due to the continuous Israeli escalation in the occupied Palestinian territories. It also stressed the need for the international community to move urgently to provide the necessary protection for the Palestinian people, and to oblige Israel to stop its flagrant violations of international law and force it to respect the decisions of international legitimacy. The Ministry renewed Qatar's firm stance on the justice of the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the fraternal Palestinian people, including the establishment of their independent state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
