Doha, March 14 (QNA) - In their Editorials Tuesday, Qatari newspapers highlighted HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani's speech during the inauguration of the 5th Global Security Forum, held on Monday under the theme "Reshaping the Global Order: Conflict, Crises, and Cooperation".
The newspapers said that HE's speech touched on many important axes, the most prominent of which was the call to adhere to the basic principles agreed upon by all countries like justice, equality, solidarity, and the rejection of double standards.
The papers hailed what His Excellency said that the State of Qatar's foreign policy is based on balancing principles and interests and mediation in resolving disputes by peaceful means, and it is certainly continuing this approach out of its firm belief in the principles of international legitimacy and the promotion of international peace and security.
Al-Sharq daily said in its editorial that HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani indicated that the State of Qatar follows an approach that combines national and humanitarian development internally, and a foreign policy based on balancing principles and interests and mediation in resolving disputes by peaceful means.
It added that the Global Security Forum 2023 reaffirms the State of Qatar's refusal of the politicization of basic goods such as energy, water and medicine, which affects the lives of individuals and the stability of societies, noting that on every international occasion Doha is keen to stress its support for all diplomatic efforts to ensure peace, stability and the sustainable development and its unlimited contribution to humanitarian work in countries that are exposed to disasters and humanitarian crises or the least developed countries around the world.
The paper underlined that the State of Qatar is emerging as a responsible and reliable partner in international action, in order to confront global challenges, adding that Doha affirms that it views international solidarity and cooperation as indispensable principles to enhance national efforts and help governments carry out their duties and responsibilities in development and guarantee the rights of individuals.
In conclusion, Al-Sharq said that the State of Qatar will remain one of the distinguished actors in international multilateral action, and has never hesitated to employ its capabilities and multilateral diplomatic legacy to support countries in need, especially in light of the increasing common challenges of the international community, as crises and violations of international law threaten peace and stability in the world, making pluralism the only option to achieve peace, development and the protection of human rights.
Meanwhile, Al-Watan newspaper said that HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs warned that the politicization of basic goods such as energy, water and medicine is no less dangerous for the most vulnerable peoples from the effects of wars and conflicts, and indicated that the Middle East region, which has been the scene of crises for several decades, desperately needs a sustainable framework to ensure peace and stability in the long term, based on the principles of dialogue, mutual respect and non-interference in the internal affairs of states.
At the inauguration of the 5th Global Security Forum, held on Monday under the theme "Reshaping the Global Order: Conflict, Crises, and Cooperation", His Excellency affirmed Qatar's stances in light of the successive global crises, as it took early steps to stabilize supply chains, realizing the importance of increasing local production of basic goods and diversifying supply chains to enhance its national security, the paper said, pointing out that HE stressed that Qatar will spare no effort in working with its international partners to achieve global food security, and to exchange experiences with them in these areas.

In parallel with the humanitarian, relief, and diplomatic efforts, Qatar has developed, through its foreign policy, an effective approach to solving complex global crises through dialogue, mediation, and advocacy as well as addressing the roots and causes of international problems.
HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani affirmed that Qatar pays the utmost attention to national security, especially achieving sufficiency of basic needs, and simultaneously working with partners to support initiatives to enhance energy security globally, the paper said.

In his speech to the forum, His Excellency indicated that the Middle East region, which has been the scene of crises for several decades, desperately needs a sustainable framework to ensure peace and stability in the long term based on the principles of dialogue and mutual respect, with the dedication to justice, equality, solidarity, and the rejection of double standards, the paper said.
In conclusion, Al-Raya said that with the emergence of successive global crises such as energy challenges, supply chains, rising global commodity prices, widening famine due to climate change, lack of supplies, and the emergence of pandemics, the State of Qatar spared all efforts to support humanitarian work in countries that are exposed to disasters and humanitarian crises, or least developed countries. For years, Qatar has followed a realistic approach that combines environmental protection and energy security for all, as it provided European countries with energy during their current crisis, and will continue to play this leading role through a serious and responsible energy transition, especially in light of increasing its production capacity to 126 million tons by 2026. Qatar has also pledged to spare no effort with its international partners to achieve global food security.
In another matter, the English-language newspaper The Peninsula affirmed in its editorial that Qatar's healthcare sector ranks among the best in the world, with government investment boosting its capacity in line with the human development pillar of the Qatar National Vision (QNV) 2030, which targets developing a healthy population, physically and mentally.
Under the headline "Rewarding and progressive healthcare," the newspaper referred to the healthcare sector's announcement on Monday of a range of successes and expansions recognizing its stature and commitment to ensuring best-in-class services, as HE Minister of Public Health Dr. Hanan Mohammed Al Kuwari opened the new Al Sadd Health Center, raising the number of health centers affiliated with PHCC to 31 nationwide.
In a statement, Dr. Al Kuwari affirmed that the expansion comes within the government's commitment to ensure that all residents have access to high-quality and integrated health services to achieve the healthcare goal of the QNV 2030. She added that primary health care services have become more focused on healthy lifestyles and disease prevention, and seek to promote public health, within the framework of the health sector plans to shift care from a curative, hospital-based model to an enhanced one that provides preventive and health services in the community, the paper said.
In another development, the World Health Organization (WHO) has selected a Qatari doctor, Dr. Hanadi Al Hamad, National Lead for Healthy Ageing for the Qatar Ministry of Public Health (National Health Strategy) and Chairperson for the Department of Geriatrics and Long-Term Care at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) to be a member of the WHO Technical Advisory Group on Integrating the Health and Care Workforces, the paper said.
In conclusion, The Peninsula said that HMC also announced a new state-of-the-art Qatar Preterm and Precision Medicine Research Clinic (QPrem & PM-RC). The facility at the Women's Wellness and Research Center (WWRC) will assess preterm children’s readiness to join school settings. The facility aims to inform policymakers and practitioners of possible ways to intervene and improve the quality of life and care of preterm children and their families. (QNA)
