Qatari Newspapers Editorials

Doha, March 25 (QNA) - Qatari newspapers dealt Saturday with a number of local and Arab issues in their editorials, as it focused on Qatar's fully managing the Doha Flight Information Region (FIR), and enumerated its technical advantages. The newspapers also highlighted the significant and prominent role played by Qatar in resolving disputes via peaceful and diplomatic means and bringing the points of view of the various parties closer together, and the great confidence that the state enjoys in the various parties, which made it a reliable international partner in resolving disputes. The newspapers continued to shed light on the ongoing Israeli violations against the Palestinian people, especially the inflammatory statements issued by the right-wing government of the Israeli entity, which serve as an incentive for the violations and crimes of the occupation forces and settler militia. Under the title "Qatar enhances management of its airspace", Al-Raya newspaper considered in its editorial today that Qatar's implementation of ICAO decision in its first phase is a new achievement in the world of civil aviation, with promising prospects to enhance its position in the regional and international skies. Al-Raya added that the new achievement enables Qatar, during the implementation of the first phase of the Doha Flight Information Region (FIR),to added new air routes and increase the aircraft waiting area capacity while in the air, and also the increasing of the area of search and rescue according to the new dimensions set by the FIR, in line with the great development and achievements witnessed by the civil aviation sector in the country, and the recognition of its right to establish its own aviation region. Al-Raya concluded by saying that the new achievement is an extension of the successes of the State of Qatar and what it has proven to the world of great capabilities and capabilities in the civil aviation sector by receiving flights from all over the world. The civil aviation system was able to achieve great successes despite the unprecedented operational intensity during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which constituted a quantum leap in enhancing the image and position of Qatar on the global map in all sectors. For its part, the English-language newspaper The Peninsula highlighted in its editorial today under the title "Giving the Best", the multiple cultural activities prepared by Katara during the month of Ramadan, which reflect the importance that the State of Qatar attaches to culture. The newspaper said that with over 23 events planned for Ramadan, the public may participate in a variety of programs, games, and competitions that will put their physical, intellectual and sporting abilities to the test. The newspaper referred to the many activities organized by Katara, which are scheduled to start from tomorrow, Sunday, and will focus on the activities of the International Theater Day, in addition to launching the broadcast of the episodes of the Katara Prize for Holy Quran Recitation in its sixth session on Qatar TV throughout the holy month of Ramadan. 
In its editorial on Saturday under the title "Qatar's Success in Mediation Diplomacy", Al-Sharq newspaper highlighted the great confidence that Qatar enjoys in the various parties, which made it a reliable international partner in resolving disputes through peaceful and diplomatic means and bringing the views of the various parties closer together. The newspaper listed the country's diplomatic successes, led by the historic mediation between the United States and the Taliban, the Darfur Peace Agreement in 2011 after negotiations that lasted two and a half years, and the Doha agreement for Lebanon in 2008, which ended a political crisis that lasted 18 months, and other successful mediations, the latest of which was the Chadian peace agreement. On the Arab Issue, Al-Watan newspaper considered that everything issued by the government of the Israeli entity so far confirms that it will not provide any opportunity to achieve peace, not only because of its statements, but because of the enactment and legislation of more racist colonial laws. In its editorial today, entitled "Destroying Opportunities for Peace," the newspaper said that what is happening cannot be stopped unless the international community, led by the United States, intervenes in a real and effective manner that obliges the occupying power to stop all its illegal unilateral measures, imposes the international will for peace, and obliges it to engage in serious political negotiations with the Palestinian side in accordance with international peace terms of reference, foremost among them are the resolutions of international legitimacy, the principle of the two-state solution, and the Arab peace initiative. The newspaper pointed out that the statements issued by some officials of the government of the Israeli entity confirm the Israeli government's denial of the signed agreements and the nature of what it is planning, which requires a firm and decisive international response that goes beyond the language of criticism, to effective measures through the Security Council, that would allow the implementation of the two-state solution, which was agreed upon by the entire international community, and impose the will for peace.
