Doha, May 23 (QNA) - In their Tuesday editorials, Qatari newspapers emphasized the importance of the official talks held by HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HE Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban in pushing the Qatari-Hungarian relations toward a new stage of prospects for joint and constructive cooperation to serve the interests of both countries.
    The newspapers also highlighted His Highness' meeting, Monday, with HE Commander of United States Central Command General Michael Kurilla and the accompanying delegation, on the occasion of their visit to the country. During the meeting, the two sides discussed the strategic relations between the two friendly countries, prospects to develop and strengthen them in the fields of military and defense cooperation, and exchanged views on the most prominent regional and international developments.
  Additionally, the newspapers emphasized the importance of the Qatar Economic Forum Powered By Bloomberg launching Tuesday, under the patronage of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, in the presence of more than 1,000 global business leaders.
    Al-Raya newspaper said in its editorial that the successful and comprehensive talks of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HE Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban push the Qatari-Hungarian relations towards a new stage of prospects for joint and constructive cooperation to serve the interests of both countries. 
    The newspaper stressed that such meetings between the two friendly countries' leadership inaugurate a new chapter of successful bilateral cooperation, which builds a foundation for more future cooperation and investment.
    Al-Raya stated that Doha and Budapest seek to develop bilateral relations and push them to advanced stages of strategic partnership, especially since the two sides have shared elements that enable bilateral integration relations to achieve their common interest. The Qatari-Hungarian friendship is based on mutual respect, the pursuit of what is good, the interest of the two countries and their friendly peoples, and global peace, stability and prosperity.
    Al-Raya concluded that several agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) have strengthened the Qatari-Hungarian relations due to the mutual desire of the two parties to develop and push them towards more integration and joint coordination. The strong ties between Qatar and Hungary clearly show the extent of joint coordination towards many international issues, concerning regional and international security and peace of the region, as they work together for the goodness of humanity.
    For its part, Al-Sharq newspaper said in its editorial that the State of Qatar is keen to maintain regional and global security and peace by strengthening its defense relations with a number of strategic partners, the most important of which is the US. Doha enjoys important cooperation with Washington, especially in regard to combating terrorism and attempts to enhance stability in the region, and these relations have developed significantly over the past few years.
    In this regard, the newspaper indicated that HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani met Monday with HE Commander of United States Central Command General Michael Kurilla and the accompanying delegation, on the occasion of their visit to the country.   The US highly appreciates the State of Qatar's role as a reliable strategic ally in crucial moments. This highlights the reliance of successive US administrations during the last decade on the mediation role played by the State of Qatar in files such as Qatar's assistance to the US in reaching an agreement in the Afghan crisis, Qatar's evacuation of Americans from Afghanistan, and assistance in the US mission in Kabul.
    In conclusion, Al-Sharq said that the developments have proven the effectiveness of the joint Qatari-US vision by maintaining strong, dynamic, and effective relations capable of containing crises and adapting to challenges.

Under the headline "A Prominent Qatari Role", Al-Watan highlighted the third edition of the "Qatar Economic Forum, Powered by Bloomberg" which will be launched today under the patronage of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, with the participation of more than 1000 business leaders from around the world.
Since 2021, Qatar Economic Forum has been a global economic event and a dialogue platform for leaders, decision-makers, experts and international actors to shed light on the reality of the global economy and anticipate its future in a dynamic and rapidly changing world. The forum consolidates Qatar's strategic status and its active and effective role in global economy, and reflects its keenness on opening the door for dynamic discussions on the importance of strengthening and deepening means of cooperation and communication in order to promote economic opportunities and face global challenges, Al-Watan said.
Qatar Economic Forum 2023 will mobilize efforts and consolidate frameworks of international cooperation and solidarity to devise effective solutions and draw future directions to bridge gaps and recovery paths in a manner that lays the foundation for building an integrated global social and economic system that would achieve the goals of sustainable global development 2030, Al-Watan added.
The wide international participation in all editions of Qatar Economic Forum confirms the importance of this global platform for dialogue on the challenges facing the global economy, and emphasizes the pivotal role of Qatar in searching for solutions to the complex issues facing the world today, Al-Watan concluded.
In another context, Al-Arab said that the Shura Council continues to discuss issues of concerns to society, focusing on the actual needs of citizens.
Yesterday, the Shura Council discussed a report on the phenomenon of Qatari teachers' unwillingness to join the teaching career, divorce, and inflation, the paper noted.
The current session of the Shura Council shed light on local issues and many vital files that meet the aspirations of citizens. The Council proposed legislation to achieve these aspirations based on the Council’s keenness on the interests of citizens, in addition to cooperating with various authorities in the country to improve the institutional performance of all sectors and improve the services provided to citizens, Al-Arab stressed.
English daily The Peninsula highlighted the opening of Google Cloud region in Doha, considering its another significant milestone in Qatar’s digital revolution journey.
In its editorial titled "Google Cloud: A Regional first in Qatar", The Peninsula said that the cloud region will help businesses grow, make smarter data-driven decisions, and scale to serve customers better.
Doha as a cloud region would facilitate business development and put Doha in a good position as a digital hub in the region and globally. Furthermore, the new cloud region will help the Qatari government achieve its Qatar National Vision 2030 plan to sustain development and provide a high standard of living for its people, the paper added.
The new Doha cloud region will support the creation of 25,000 jobs in 2030 alone and contribute a cumulative $18.9 billion in higher gross economic output to Qatar’s economy between 2023 and 2030. It brings high-performance, low-latency services and products to customers of all sizes, from public sector organizations, to large enterprises, to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and startups in Qatar and the Middle East, the paper added.
The Google Cloud region opening in Qatar comes after Microsoft’s global datacenter region in Qatar was opened last year. These developments further emphasize Qatar’s goal of developing a robust ICT sector and promoting a sustainable economy that aligns with QNV 2030, The Peninsula said. (QNA)
