Doha, June 07 (QNA) - The Qatari newspapers highlighted in their editorials Wednesday the visit of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, to the Kyrgyz Republic, which came at a time when relations between the two countries are characterized by development, strength and growth at an accelerated pace, reflecting the common desire to enhance cooperation and deepen bilateral relations between the two countries. The newspapers unanimously agreed that the State of Qatar is constantly striving to develop its relations, form new strategic partnerships and alliances, as well as strengthen all forms of cooperation with Asian countries. They emphasized that the visit of HH the Amir to the Republic of Uzbekistan, his first stop on a tour that includes several Central Asian countries, marks a new phase in the relationship between Qatar and Central Asian countries. It opens up prospects for a transitional phase in bilateral cooperation in both the economic and trade sectors, benefiting both sides. This can be achieved through the significant capabilities possessed by both parties, as well as through the agreements and memoranda of understanding signed so far to enhance cooperation between companies and open investment opportunities available to both sides. Under the headline "Qatar and Kyrgyzstan... Flourishing Relations," Al-Sharq newspaper said in its editorial that the visit of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to Bishkek, the capital of the Kyrgyz Republic, as the second stop on his tour of Central Asian republics, carries significant historical importance. This is because HH the Amir is the first Arab leader to visit the Kyrgyz Republic, in addition to the political dimension of the visit, which opens the door to launching a partnership between the two friendly countries in all fields, especially in light of the strong and robust friendship and cooperation ties that have been rapidly developing between the two countries for years. The State of Qatar reflects its strategy and openness towards Central Asian countries, demonstrating the insightful vision of Qatar under the wise leadership of HH the Amir, who has close relations with HE the President of the Kyrgyz Republic. It is expected that the visit of HH the Amir to Bishkek will have a greater impact in enhancing bilateral relations between the two countries. It opens wide doors for convergence and cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and all Arab countries, and will serve as a catalyst for building new relationships between Central Asian countries and the Arab Gulf states, Al-Sharq noted. The outcomes of the talks that will take place today between HH the Amir and HE the President of Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, will encompass bilateral relations between the two friendly countries. The discussions will focus on ways to support and enhance these relations in various fields, as well as elevate the level of consultation and coordination between Doha and Bishkek in international forums regarding various current issues of mutual interest. Additionally, they will address topics and issues that impact international security and stability. These talks are expected to be a turning point in advancing the relationship to higher levels, serving the interests of both countries and their friendly people, the newspaper said. Al-Sharq concluded by saying that the strong determination of the leadership in both countries and their shared commitment to developing relations and commonalities that bring them together affirm that the two countries are about to launch a new phase by launching cooperation and partnerships in a large number of fields, for the good and benefit of both countries. Under the title "Strong Relationships", Al-Watan newspaper said that the visit of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to the Kyrgyz Republic comes at a time when the relations between the two countries are characterized by development, strength and growth at an accelerated pace, reflecting the common desire to enhance cooperation and deepen bilateral relations between the two countries and to open new horizons for mutual cooperation. It is expected that around 20 agreements and memoranda of understanding will be signed between the two countries during this official visit, covering various areas. The aim is to expand bilateral cooperation in fields such as law, sports, defense, plant quarantine, health, veterinary medicine, finance, disaster management, central banks, agriculture and food security, aviation training, technology and telecommunications, media, cultural centers, labor, customs, animal health and plant protection, healthcare, postal exchange, financial markets, business councils and other areas. This was stated by HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Kyrgyz Republic Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Sulaiti, the newspaper noted. At the end of its editorial, Al-Watan stressed that HH the Amir's visit will contribute significantly to strengthening relations between Qatar and Kyrgyzstan and strengthening Qatar's role in the region to support regional cooperation and peace there. Moreover, cooperation with Central Asian countries contributes to the development of bilateral relations in political, security, and cultural fields. It enables the exchange of expertise and knowledge, enhances mutual understanding and deepens cooperation in addressing common regional and global challenges, which require cooperation and a firm belief in international peace and security.
For its part, Al-Raya newspaper saw that the State of Qatar continues to strengthen its strategic relations with the Central Asian countries as a historical ally and a trustworthy future partner. In this context, the friendly Republic of Kyrgyz Republic was the second stop of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani as part of his tour in this region to strengthen relations between Doha and Bishkek through the expected talks between HH the Amir and HE the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov which includes bilateral relations, and ways to support and strengthen them in various fields. The newspaper said in its editorial Under the title "Historic Visit of HH the Amir to Kyrgyztan" that the visit aims to raise the level of consultation and coordination between Doha and Bishkek in international forums regarding various current issues of common concern, in addition to issues and concerns affecting international security and stability. It is expected that the discussions, agreements, and memorandums of understanding to be signed will contribute to supporting and developing relations between the two countries and opening new horizons which will strengthen ties, relations and cooperation between the two parties, Al-Raya added. The paper considered that the State of Qatar is in a constant endeavor to develop its relations and forge new strategic partnerships and alliances, as well as strengthen all forms of cooperation with Asian countries, as the size of the delegation accompanying HH confirms the importance of the tour in some Central Asian countries, as Qatar seeks to expand its relations with those countries, especially Kyrgyzstan, which considers HH' visit as historic because he is the first Arab leader to visit these countries, which always seeks close relations of cooperation with Arab countries. The newspaper also noted the official talks held by HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani with HE President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, which culminated in the signing of several agreements and memorandums of understanding and cooperation between the governments of the two countries, regarding mutual encouragement and protection of investments, cooperation in the field of trade, elimination of duplication, exemption from travel visa requirements for holders of diplomatic passports, and an agreement on cooperation in the field of higher education and scientific research. Al-Raya concluded by saying that the signed agreements demonstrate the success of HH the Amir's visit, as His Highness thanked the Uzbek president on behalf of Qatar for the hospitality and honor he received and the accompanying delegation in Samarkand during his visit, which provided an opportunity to exchange views on issues of common concern and ways to support and strengthen the friendly relations between the two countries in various fields for the benefit of the two friendly peoples. Al-Arab newspaper affirmed under the title "Successful Visit and Promising Prospects" that the visit of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to the Republic of Uzbekistan, within the framework of a tour that includes several Central Asian countries, establishes a new stage in the relations between Qatar and Central Asian countries, and it opens horizons for a transitional phase in bilateral cooperation on the economic and commercial levels for the benefit of both sides, whether through the great capabilities enjoyed by the two parties or through the agreements and memorandums of understanding that have been signed so far to enhance cooperation between companies and open investment opportunities available to both sides. The newspaper considered that the success of HH's visit paves the way for the transition of friendship and cooperation between the two countries to broad horizons and an openness to new and promising sectors, especially in the economic, trade, and ambitious investment partnerships through bilateral agreements that contribute to supporting and developing relations in a way that serves the goals, aspirations, and interests of the two countries and their friendly peoples. The paper affirmed the keenness of the Qatari and Uzbek leaderships committed to maintaining the interest-based cooperation in multiple areas, especially within the framework of regional and international organizations, including the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the United Nations and other entities, as the two leaderships look forward to developing a comprehensive and long-term cooperation, along with developing bilateral relations based on mutual respect. Al-Arab concluded by saying that given the results of the expected tour of HH, including the wide and welcoming media responses and the size of the signed and expected agreements between the State of Qatar and a number of Central Asian countries, emphasizing that the tours of HH have contributed, and still are, to raising Qatar's status on the regional and international arenas. For its part, the English-language newspaper The Peninsula said that the official visit paid by HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to the Republic of Uzbekistan within the framework of the tour that will include several countries in Central Asia, pointing out that the bilateral relations between Doha and Tashkent were established in Nov.1997, and have been growing at all levels since then. The newspaper said in its editorial entitled "Boosting diplomatic ties," that the visit by HH the Amir to Uzbekistan will contribute to further development of friendly relations between the two countries, indicating that many agreements and memoranda of understanding between the governments of the two countries were signed Tuesday in the presence of HH the Amir and HE the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. These included agreements on recruiting workers, higher education and scientific research, cooperation in the field of culture, agriculture, and food security, and in the field of investment among others, The Peninsula added. The newspaper explained that this building of relations between Qatar and Uzbekistan and the establishment of commercial, agricultural, and industrial partnerships will serve Qatar National Vision 2030 (QNV 2030) to achieve sustainable development that guarantees a better life for its people, as well as for the coming generations. The Peninsula concluded its editorial by saying that HH the Amir arrived Tuesday in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyz Republic, after concluding his visit to Uzbekistan, pointing to the statements of HE President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, who described the visit as ‘historic and important’ as HH the Amir is the first Arab leader to pay an official visit to the Kyrgyz Republic.
