Doha,June 09 (QNA) - Qatari newspapers highlighted the tour of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to the Central Asian region, which His Highness concluded Thursday by visiting the Republic of Tajikistan. In their editorials on Friday, the newspapers underlined the importance of His Highness's historic tour in strengthening relations with Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Tajikistan, advancing development and supporting the security and stability of the region, highlighting the wide official, popular, and media attention of the visits. The papers pointed to the keenness of His Highness, during his tour, to consolidate cooperation and improve relations with Central Asia and open promising horizons for cooperation in the economic, trade, and investment fields. The newspapers shed light on the positive results of His Highness's tour, particularly building bridges and strengthening relations with brotherly and friendly countries, confirming Qatar's position as a prominent political and economic ally of those countries and an important regional partner, strengthening foreign investments, and diversifying their economy for those countries with Qatar. In its editorial titled "Qatar and Central Asia... transition towards partnership," Al Sharq said that His Highness's exceptional and historic tour, which included four countries in Central Asia, namely Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Tajikistan, will constitute a fundamental turning point in advancing relations with these countries to a new stage of cooperation and partnership, especially in light of the great potentials and resources of the State of Qatar and these friendly countries. The newspaper pointed out that these partnerships would achieve common interests and benefit the Qatari people and the people of these friendly countries. It explained that the tour is an embodiment of the strategy of the State of Qatar, established by HH the Amir, which is based on building bridges with all countries of the world and forming the closest ties and strongest relations with various brotherly and friendly countries. In its editorial titled "Solid relations," Al Watan said that the State of Qatar seeks to build balanced and developed cooperative relations with all countries of the world, especially since the Central Asian region is considered one of the economic regions that Qatar attaches special importance to. The newspaper highlighted the visit of HH the Amir to the Republic of Tajikistan, the last stop in his tour to several Central Asian countries, stressing its importance in providing a solid impetus to the development of bilateral cooperation between the two countries, which will positively reflect on trade and investment exchange, and partnership relations between business sectors. Al Arab underscored that the Tajik capital, Dushanbe, represented an important stop in His Highness's Asian tour, given the official talks with HE President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and the discussion of the existing friendship and cooperation relations between the two countries, and ways to strengthen and develop them in various fields, in addition to the signing of agreements and memorandums of understanding between the two countries. The paper highlighted the inauguration of the Imam Abu Hanifa Al-Nu'man bin Thabit Mosque in Dushanbe and its cultural building, library, and educational departments inside the center, which aims to contribute to the consolidation of Islamic and educational values. 
In its editorial on Friday, the English-language newspaper The Peninsula said the visit of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to several friendly countries in Central Asia would contribute to developing and advancing their relations with the State of Qatar to advanced stages of strategic partnerships, especially in the economic, trade and investment fields, for the benefit of the peoples of Qatar and Central Asia. The newspaper pointed out that the existing relations were also strengthened through spiritual and historical ties, the common denominators between the peoples of those countries, and the brotherly relations existing between the leaders of those countries and Qatar. It noted that the wise leadership has given high priority to developing mutually beneficial relations and expanding relations into long-term partnerships through continuous cooperation in the political, economic, investment, social, cultural, educational, health care, and tourism fields. Al Raya newspaper said that HH the Amir was accorded, during the historic tour, with official reception ceremonies presented by heads of state and senior officials, amid wide official, popular and media interest, stressing the importance of this tour in opening new and promising horizons and achieving a qualitative leap for cooperation in various fields. In an article by its editor-in-chief on Friday titled "His Highness's tour opens new horizons for cooperation with Central Asia," Al Raya underlined that HH the Amir's tour to those countries carried important messages from Qatar to Central Asian countries, embodying the strategy of the State of Qatar, established by His Highness, based on building bridges and closer ties and stronger relations with various brotherly and friendly countries, as well as opening doors towards increasing the volume of investment and exchanging experiences. The newspaper said that HH the Amir affirmed, during the official talks, that Qatar and those countries possess many elements to consolidate cooperation and advance relations to broader horizons, as well as Qatar's keenness to build balanced and developed cooperative relations with all countries of the world, and the Central Asian region, which is considered one of the economic regions that Qatar attaches importance to. Al Raya concluded that HH the Amir's Asian tour was successful by all standards, as described by the media of those countries, during which the State of Qatar strengthened its strategic relations with the countries of Central Asia as a historical ally and a trustworthy future partner, and opened new horizons for cooperation for the good, security, and stability of the region, adding that the visit contributed to enhancing the level of consultation and coordination between Qatar and Central Asia in international forums regarding various current issues of common concern and discussing topics and issues affecting international security and stability.
