Doha, June 19 (QNA) - Qatari newspapers on Monday highlighted the inauguration of "Qatar Cancer Plan 2023-2026", which was attended by HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani yesterday at Itqan Clinical Simulation and Innovation Center in Hamad Bin Khalifa Medical City.
The Qatari dailies underlined that the State of Qatar has always affirmed that building the human is a priority and a basic pillar of development and renaissance; stressing that the health sector in Qatar is among the most advanced at the global level, and the achievements in this sector were made possible thanks to a clear vision that affirms the centrality of the human and health in the State's national development plans.
Under its editorial titled "Immense Health Accomplishments", Al-Watan said that HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani attended on Sunday morning the inauguration ceremony of Qatar Cancer Plan 2023-2026 under the slogan "Excellence for All", at Itqan Clinical Simulation and Innovation Center in Hamad Bin Khalifa Medical City, affirming the utmost importance given to health care by the wise leadership, by securing the necessary facilities, technologies, expertise and skills to advance this vital sector and enable it to perform its role in the best possible way.
Al-Watan noted that HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs attended a presentation titled "Journey Towards Excellence for All", a presentation on chapters of Qatar's Cancer Plan 2023-2026, and a video on patients, experts, medical facilities and the multidisciplinary team. His Excellency also toured Itqan Clinical Simulation and Innovation Center.
The health sector in Qatar is among the most advanced at the global level, and its accomplishments was achieved thanks to the care it receives at all levels. The health care system has continued the process of development and improvement. Several state-of-the-art hospitals and many new specialized facilities were opened, primary health centers were increased, and the organ transplant program was developed to include lung transplants besides kidney and liver transplant surgeries, making Hamad Medical Corporation one of the most comprehensive organ transplant centers in the region. The launch of Qatar Cancer Plan adds an important new achievement that reflects the high-quality services provided by the health sector at all levels and in all fields, Al-Watan concluded.
Meanwhile, Qatari daily Al-Raya underlined that the State of Qatar has always affirmed that building the human is a priority and a basic pillar of development and renaissance. Yesterday, the State laid a new brick in the edifice of its care for the health of citizens by launching Qatar Cancer Plan 2023-2026 under the slogan "Excellence for All", at Itqan Clinical Simulation and Innovation Center in Hamad Bin Khalifa Medical City.
Qatar Cancer Plan has always proved excellence and professionalism, through a commitment to the highest standards of medical services in the specialized medical departments for cancer patients which are equipped with the latest medical technologies, surgical skills laboratories and virtual reality technologies associated with medical training plan for healthcare professionals, Al-Raya added.
The health sector in Qatar has witnessed a great renaissance and quantum leaps in recent years, making the State ranks among the developed countries in providing integrated health care comparable to the best health systems in the world. Qatar Cancer Plan is a strong addition to its health system which aims at building the human who is the State's utmost priority and a pivotal pillar for its progress and renaissance, Al-Raya concluded.
Highlighting the echoes of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani's official visit to Iraq, which falls within the framework of historical relations between the two countries, English-language newspaper The Peninsula said that Iraqi media outlets gave extensive coverage to the official visit of HH the Amir, affirming the significance of the visit which serves as a strong push for expanding Qatari-Iraqi relations.
In its editorial titled "Qatar-Iraq Ties on Upswing", The Peninsula said that the visit is expected to contribute to enhancing the level of coordination between the two countries and opening new horizons of economic, commercial and investment cooperation.
HH the Amir’s visit to Baghdad saw the signing of several agreements and MoUs covering a range of sectors. The agreements covered aspects such as air transport services, maritime transport, and a memorandum of understanding on canceling travel visa requirements for holders of diplomatic passports, among others, the paper added.
The Peninsula concluded its editorial by pointing out that the memorandums of understanding signed during the visit included the development of new cities, five stars hotels, and the management and operation of several hospitals in Iraq.
On the other hand, Al-Sharq noted HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani's participation in the High-level Pledging Event to Support the Humanitarian Response in Sudan and the Region on Monday, which the State of Qatar co-chairs alongside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Federal Republic of Germany, and the United Nations, represented by the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), the European Union, and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
The paper said the participation affirms the State of Qatar's support for the Sudanese people to overcome their current crisis, and its commitment to work to mobilize all support to confront the repercussions of the conflict in Sudan on the humanitarian level, and at the same time, support all efforts aimed at finding a political solution to the crisis.
Al-Sharq indicated that since the outbreak of the fighting in Sudan, the State of Qatar, under the generous directives of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, has initiated an air bridge to support the Sudanese belonging to the Amiri Air Force planes carrying food and medical aid. So far, the State of Qatar has provided 301 tons of aid and has evacuated 1,784 Qatari residency holders.
The newspaper added that the permanent support of the State of Qatar, its leadership and people, with the Sudanese people, reflects the sense of human suffering that the brotherly Sudanese people are currently experiencing, and confirms its pioneering humanitarian role, generous giving, and unremitting efforts to support containing crises in brotherly and friendly countries, extending a helping hand to the afflicted people without exception or discrimination.
In conclusion, Al-Sharq said that the State of Qatar's participation and co-chairmanship of the High-level Pledging Event to Support the Humanitarian Response in Sudan and the Region on Monday represents a full commitment to its responsibility as an active partner in the international community and its unlimited support for every effort to help the brothers in Sudan.
