Qatar's Visitors' Number Surges 295.2 Percent YoY In January

Doha, March 07 (QNA) - The total number of inbound visitors reached about 340,000, recording a monthly decrease of 44.5 percent (compared to December 2022) and an annual increase of 295.2 percent (compared to January 2022). The highest number of visitors was from the Gulf Cooperation Council at 42 percent. As for visitors by type of port, the visitors via air make up the highest percentage with 44 percent of the total number of visitors. The Planning and Statistics Authority's 109th issue of (Qatar; Monthly Statistics) bulletin for January 2023 showed that one of the most prominent changes in this issue is the increase in total new drivers licenses at a monthly rate of 206.6 percent.
