Republic of Togo Expresses Support for Saudi Arabia to Host Expo 2030, 2034 World Cup

Lomé, October 12, 2023, SPA -- President Faure Essozimna Gnassingbe of the Republic of Togo received Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Cabinet Member, and Envoy for Climate Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir and his accompanying delegation.
Al-Jubeir conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to the president, as well as their wishes of steady progress and prosperity for the government and people of the Republic of Togo.
The two sides reviewed relations and aspects of cooperation and several topics of common interest.
Al-Jubeir expressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's gratitude and appreciation for Togo's support for the Kingdom's bids to host the Expo 2030 and 2034 World Cup. The president also expressed his country's warm welcome for Saudi Arabia to host the first Saudi-African summit and the fifth Arab-African summit in Riyadh this year.
During the visit, Al-Jubeir also met with Minister for Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and Togolese Abroad of Togo, Robert Dussey, with whom he discussed a number of issues of common interest.
