Sadyr Zhaparov to launch construction of Asman eco-city

Bishkek, June 29, 2023. / Kabar/. President Sadyr Zhaparov will launch the construction of a modern Asman eco-city on June 30 on the coast of Issyk-Kul.

Erbol Sultanbaev, press secretary of the head of state, said that the event will be broadcast live by NTRK, republican and regional TV channels, and on pages in social networks.

From 500,000 to 700,000 people will live in the future city. The total area of the city is 4 thousand hectares. The construction will be financed by external investors - foreign companies.

The city is intended to become an economic and tourist center of the country, which will provide for the introduction of an advanced educational system, the construction of modern health and business centers, stadiums, the placement of high-tech parks, as well as the presence of financial and credit institutions, etc.

The construction of a conceptually new city within 4 thousand hectares of area will cost less than the renovation of a functioning one. The industrial infrastructure will be based on high-tech developments of the smart city class with extensive use of alternative energy sources, optimal consumption of resources and resources, environmentally friendly modes of transport, as well as in compliance with the principles of a green economy.
