233 OPEN-HEART SURGERIES PERFORMED BY THIRD HOSPITAL

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The State Central Third Hospital successfully performed some complicated surgeries in 2017, reported the Ministry of Health. The Hospital accomplished its key objectives without causing inconvenience to the customers and patients. For instance, the Hospital served 19,489 inpatients, provided ambulatory check-up service to 174,413 people, emergency service to 10,433 people, and performed surgeries on 6,281 patients last year. Moreover, the State Central Third Hospital conducted 233 open-heart surgeries and 1,194 brain and spine surgeries. The Hospital provided surgical treatment to 160 children under the age 16, and received 1,760 inpatients to its stroke ward and 962 inpatients to the coronary care unit. The Hospital provided ablation therapy to 54 heart arrhythmia patients and pacemaker treatment to 121 patients, making patients who seek such treatments abroad to save MNT 1.7 billion. The State Central Third Hospital also carried out an Anti-Hypertension Campaign in cooperation with the Khan Bank, which involved 18,324 people. M.Anudari
